#31DC2017: 5. Blue

So I’ve been sitting here for quite a while now, thinking on how to start this post because let’s be honest, my life isn’t always that exciting! Do I talk about the weather? Do I ask you how your day went? Do I think of some funny story about fandoms I love? Out of all the endless options, I was pretty stumped. But then it hit me!…Just write am intro about how you have nothing to write an intro about! BOOM! I am a genius! I just stole 30 seconds of your life and I don’t even feel guilty! THE POWER OF THE INTERNET! MHUUUHAHAHAHAHAHA

So anyway…on to today’s prompt of the #31DC2017 we go!

5. Blue

Today’s mani was supposed to be inspired by something, but man, it just did not work like I wanted it too! So I am not going to say what it was inspired by because I am going to try and use it later on in the challenge again! AHA! 2 flies, one smack and whatnot…

I started by laying down 2 coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (the OG one) as my base. I then blended a bit of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue & China Glaze Man Hunt with a fan brush and then after taking off the excess, just lightly brushed it over the base. Next, I added a tiny bit of acetone to a blob of China Glaze First Mate and just made some light strokes randomly over everything. Lastly using a super small headed dotting tool & Sinful Colors Snow Me White, I added some specks.

Like I said, there was actual inspiration behind this mani but it didn’t do the inspiration justice and the effect is really important to me! I’m HOPEFULLY going to try it again later on in this challenge, so keep an eye out for that.

Lots of mad love…

#31DC2017: 4. Green

Hey gorgeous beings! How was your manic Monday? Did you wish it was Sunday? That is definitely my fun day. Yup, my “I don't have to run” day...Also, I bet I can tell you what you're humming at the moment! *shimmy shimmy shimmy*

Before I perfect the art of talking utter nonsense, let's get to today's prompt, shall we? It is going to be a ROLLERCOASTER RIDE so hang on to your seats, boys and girls!

4. Green

I started by laying down 2 coats of China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint as my base. I then tore off pieces of a make up sponge and sponged a broad area in the middle of the nail with OPI Jade Is The New Black. In the centre of the area I sponged in a bit of Nubar Greener for some sparkle. Lastly, I just added some loose gold glitter and sealed it all in with a good thick topcoat (Seche Vite FTW!)

Okay, so this was hella easy but I swear I will start pushing myself a bit more. I have been feeling like I've been taking these prompts a bit too easy so I am going to try and bring in some more detail and harder techniques. Let me emphasize the TRY though, not promising anything!

Lots of mad love...

#31DC2017: 3.Yellow

Lovelies! Lovelies with the lovely jubblies! It’s Sunday and everyone is gearing up for the new week so not going to blab too much today. Sometimes silence is good. Needed even! So let’s get to today’s nails for the #31DC2017, shall we?

3. Yellow

For my base I started with 3 coats of Color Club Endless Summer. On my ring and middle finger I then layer stamped using Mundo de Unas White, Mundo de Unas Black, Born Pretty Store plate BP-146 and a clear stamper. For the pinky and index finger I made decals using Mundo de Unas Black, Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Harunouta plate 18 (available from Born Pretty Store).

I did a mani with skulls in it yo! Of course I’m happy with it! Now…lets touch on this yellow. I don’t like 3 coat polishes! AT ALL! Especially if it’s a crème but…BUT…this yellow is so worth it! It is juicy sexy! And honestly, I think with a bit of careful applying it could be a 2 coat yellow polish. Doesn’t it just scream summer?

Lots of mad love...

#31DC2017: 2 .Orange

So we got past day one, people! Heck, it's the most I've blogged in over a year so I am pretty stoked, knowhatimsaying? #31DC2017 make you blog real good, guuuurl!

I'm going to jump straight into today's prompt because it's Saturday and let's be honest, you have better places to be, you social butterflies you! *cries alone in a corner*

2. Orange:

For my base I started out with 2 coats of Morgan Taylor Funny Business and then a coat of China Glaze Pick Me Up Purple. I then made stamping decals with Mundo De Unas White, OPI In My Back Pocket & Born Pretty Store plate BP-73.

I kinda love how the purple base makes the orange pop! And let me tell you, if you want good purples, whatever spectrum it may be, Morgan Taylor is where it is at! Morgan Taylor Funny Business...I love you! *motorboats all my purple polishes*

#31DC2017: Red....Yes, this is an actual post!

The door creaks open as she slowly enters the room. Dust dances in the sunbeams that break through the dirt stained windows, illuminating her hulking silhouette dragging itself across the floor. Like an injured animal she groans as she picks up the axe, trembling legs barely being able to stand but she uses determination as her drive. Suddenly, a glint of light catches the blade of the axe as she slams it into the door. “HERE’S THEA!”

Wow, so much drama! Can we all just calm the hell down? So I didn’t blog for a while? So I got distracted? So I…Oh my gosh, I missed you guys and my little space so much! Can we all group hug please? Besides, what better way of getting back into blogging by attempting the 31 Day challenge…again! Yeah, apparently I’m a masochist!

So it begins...again...

I really didn’t have much inspiration for today’s mani except that I knew I wanted to use teal with red. I am a sucker for this colour combo so this is what I came up with. I started out by laying down a coat of Color Club French Tip as my base. Using a nail art brush I placed random small blobs of OPI A Oui Bit Of Red, China Glaze Ruby Pumps and OPI Fly on my nails and then just filled in the pattern toward the outside of the nail, interchanging these colours.

I really actually like how this came out. This was honestly just a moment of having fun with the various colors. Time consuming, but fun!

Lots of mad love...
